Over the Moon on Macaroons....





Lalalalalaa..... lalallaa... life is good!! Heh! heh! heh!... since Christmas season ended, I have been having a good time taking things easy and working on new things at my leisure pace... Life is good... Have a look at some of these yummies I have created for my clients...

This is lychee & rose water cream.. Lychee macaroons are simply addictive and a sell out! Partly because lychee blends well with almonds and so does rose water. Partly because lychee is always some yummy to have no matter what mood you may be.

Peaches & Cream.. this reminds me of my time! Wahahahahaha.. I love the color and flavor... peaches is something that goes very well with cinnamon and for this, a very light hint of cinnamon has been added and it simply open a new whole dimension to peaches...

As for the cream, I used cream cheese and it is simply yumms when combine with peaches lightly flavored with cinnamon is out of these world!


Strawberry & Cream.. ahhh.. this is every girl's dream to have strawberries and cream! I think it is something to do with the heady taste of strawberries combine with the smooth and creamy taste of cream that gives every girl that pampered and loved feeling... Hehehe.. This is another addictive flavor.. Pop one and you will not stop until it is all gone!

Van Gough - A twirl and a swirl for a cheesecake!




I was in a very arty farty mood when I created this cheesecake. I wanted something to suit the friend I was making this cheesecake for. It was a friend whom I have known for 25 years!! This friend always reminded me of something that is fanciful and fun and I had this idea of having strawberry compote swirl together with blueberry and apricot puree on a cheesecake and the look was exactly what I would like to make for my friend.

The taste of this creation is also simply divine.. The 3 different types of fruits in its different texture combine very well with the cheesecake I made which is light and luxurious. The whole effect is further enhanced with a chocolate cookie base. As for the taste, I must say it is terribly yummy... I took 2nd helping!! Wakakakakaka...

This cheese cake is priced at RM95.

Cream of Pumpkin...




Didnt I say I am having a relaxing time after a very hectic Christmas? Heh! heh! heh!

Saw this "tong sui" being sold and the line of people it managed to attract got me very interested. I bought a serving to try and yes, I love it. So, there begin my adventure of making this tong sui which by the way is very easy to make. The trick is to pick a nice pumpkin! Wahahaa... seriously, I noticed that the japanese pumpkin make a better choice because it is sweeter and smoother and using santan makes a very aromatic tong sui.. the sago is my own added ingredient...

Fruit Cake - Spring Range





I made this the other day.... yup, since Christmas season is finally done, I have quite a bit of time in my hands to try.. invent.. create... experiment and I came up with this new fruitcake!
I had some dried apricots and cranberries lying around and decided to soak them in rum together with raisins and lemon peel thinking I would make something funky like bread pudding with them... but as I was munching on my last piece of fruitcake, I thought why not make it into a fruitcake.. and fruitcake it was! Hahahaha..

The flavor is light and easy to eat.. the texture of the cake is very moist and the blend of fruits were just right.. giving it a citrus flavor twist and the best part is that the taste is not sweet and heavy.. I must say that this range is a very addictive.

This is good for fun eating.. for little parties that people sit around and need something light to nibble on..

Abundance! Abundance come rolling into your home and office....

Abundance was created for a customer who wanted something simple but yet classic to be given away as Chinese New Year gift. The budget given nothing more than RM50 each and I came up with this! Abundance!

Its concept is very traditional...3 containers stack up just like a tiffin carrier and its content are addictive pineapple tarts, melt in the mouth traditional kueh bangkit and to balance things up, something modern.. almond biscotti.. All 3 stacked up and hold together with a thin strip of red ribbon and decorated with a cute hand emboideried butterfly.

This was sold at RM45 each with a minimum order of 20 sets...

What a year it has been!! The tiger year was spectacular for me... plenty of new adventure, plenty of fun and most of plenty of creations! So, as the roaring tiger make way for a more gentle hipperty hop cutesy rabbit, I take this opportunity to wish all my friends and customers..

Gong Xi! Gong Xi! Gong Xi...




This is Kueh Bangkit.. I have been selling this for the last 2 years and the response has always been overwhelming. This is sold at RM26 per container and believe me that there are a lot in that container..


Biscotti.. Almond biscotti actually. This is my new creation for this Gong Xi Fa Cai season. It is not hard to make.. but I need to borrow my friend's slicer to do it. Commercial slicer that is.. Hehehe... yes, the steps involved is a bit tedious but the result is well worth it.. it produced thinly sliced biscuits that are crispy and addictive! This is sold at RM24 per container.


Tarts!! Yes, pineapple tarts... this year, I have decided to do rolled up tarts instead. Reason being is cost. The usual open faced tarts are more expensive to make and with the ever raising cost of goods, I doubt anyone will want to buy those tarts. Where else, this cost lesser to make and since I was able to come up with a pastry that is light and doesnt coat the tongue, I was excited to make this for sale this year! This is sold at RM32 per container that will have approximately 40-42 pieces.

With these yummy cookies, I am all ready for Gong Xi Fa Cai!!

2011 is HERE!!




2010 had been a great year for me.... For one, I was tested and yet shown the way to conquer my challenges. For another, my faith in the almighty strengthens many folds.. "I can do all things through HIM who strengthens me" ring in my head every time, may it be when I have a very challenging order to do or difficult times in my personal arena.

2010 had offered me plenty of new challenges to improve my skills.. I was teased with new ideas, more complicated designs and concept and am glad that I was able to learn and improve as I work on these challenges. I am also very glad that I have lovely clients who allow me the room to create and improve. I thank every single one of my clients, no matter how small they are for their support..

2010 had also strengthens my confidence in myself... I am more calm and stress free even at the most testing moments.. I have learnt that I shouldnt allow nitty gritty obstacles to "scar" my beautiful life. I should instead turn such nitty gritty obstacles into opportunities to make my life more beautiful.. hence, I have learnt to laugh off mean and shitty people around me and in the process, make them feel nothing more than what they are suppose to feel, shitty and idiotic! Hahahaha.. sharpening my sarcastic skills? Perhaps! Although I have been told I am near numero Uno in that area...

And now, 2010 has ended and a chapter has closed, I thank the almighty that I have been blessed endlessly and that 2010 has been colorful and fruitful. As a new chapter, 2011 begins, I look forward to another colorful and challenging year. I have learnt that challenges are the essence that make life worth living!

Welcome 2011.... it is going to be a GREAT year! Watch me do greater things.. better designs and creation.. better ideas and concept.. Yes, my mind is like a runaway train with ideas!
