Party Food - Tuna Cups

You see these pretty cups? I made them using puff pastry. I have always wanted to try making these cups.. they are known as vol-au-vont. The art of making such cups is to make your puff pastry evenly.. meaning, rolliing out your dough in uniform thickness throughout. This is not easy to do at all!! If the pastry is not rolled out evenly, the pastry will not puff up in an uniform manner.. hence, no cup.. more like a loopsided cup or no puff up at all!!

Once I made the cups, I add in tuna.. tuna mixed with a little bit of everything to make it scrumptious.. Of course, you can let imagine run riot by having all sorts of filling instead of tuna.....

These are great for parties.. there is a minimum order of 45 pieces at RM2.50 each for savory and RM3.50 for sweet filling.

Cuppies - Big Mc Mania!

I like this!! Very little icing and a lot.. I mean a lot of cake! Wahahaha... The "bread" is made from vanilla flavoured cupcakes and the "patty" is made from rich chocolate buttercake.. and of course the icing is fashioned to represent sauces... yellow for mustard, red for tomato sauce and green for lettuce.

Of course I cheated a bit with the icing.. I didnt squirt it all over the 'patty'.. just at the edge to give it a dripping effect over the "patty" just like how burger would look like.

These are sold for RM6.50 each with a minimum order of 12 "burgers". By the way, these burgers comes with its own container... just like how McDonald's did once upon a time.....

Something simple and yet classic to dress mini chocolate cuppies. These were sold at RM3.50 each with a minimum order of 50 pieces.

p/s.. If I must say so..the chocolate mini cuppies are mini pleasure bombs with these chocolate ganache and fluffy buttercream......

I like this theme! It is so Wuuuu Huuu.. with dinosaurs and the whole pre histroric landscape... These cuppies are french vanilla and was sold for RM3.50 each with a minimum order of 50 cuppies.

Jessie came bearing gifts for Isabelle's birthday.. lots of chocolate butter cake with ribbons and bows made of fondant weighing at 3.8kg. The whole cake was sold for RM380.. including Jessie.

Golden Years!

Mimi's niece wanted Mimi who is going to celebrate her 82nd birthday to have something funky and chinese! The crucial items that must be on Mimi's cake was an old lady, lots of gold ingots, longevity buns and must be red.... and taa daaaa!! I come up with this. And old lady on a rocking chair enjoying her twilight years with baskets of longevity buns and lots of gold ingots!

This is a lemon butter cake and weigh in at 2.5kg. This was sold for RM350. The work was centered around the old lady and rocking chair. If the weather didnt suddenly turn hot and dry, the old lady would have looked much better.. yes, weather is a killer with fondant.
