Foodelicious!

I was so busy churning out cakes and cookies for birthdays and my upcoming x'mas project that I forgot to take a picture of this cake...sigh..old age!! But everything happened for a reason. and the reason cannot be anything better than to have this picture, my first picture of a contented and happy birthday boy with his cake!!

This cake is actually a black forest cake.. chocolate sponge with dark pitted cherries and whipped cream flavored with cherry syrup and kirsch.. of course, the kirsch was very much lessen because there are kids! Heh! heh! heh! a little tiny bit wont hurt because without it, the cake wont be the same.... So, anyway, the birthday boy wanted a football field with manchester united logo on it. He scout for the design and told me.."I want this cake! Confirm." Hahahahaha... and I made the cake exactly like how he wanted it.. well, not exactly.. I added some players onto the cake for some Oooomph! Hehehhee... yes, 5 players and that's all the space there is....

I thought this was a very refreshing and unique cake... Almond Longan Mousse cake. I first saw this during one of my holidays and brave myself to try it... yes, I am no fan of white things.. Anyway, after paying a bomb for a slice of this cake, I had to eat it whether I like it or not or if it is nice or not.. Hahahaa.. and boy! was I amazed.. It is very very refreshing and nice! And of course, the almond flavor was rather over powering but my mind was already working.... heh! heh! heh!

So, when I got back from my holiday. I went to work and made this.. of course, drastically reduced the almond flavor and firm up the mousse a tiny bit... our weather is not very kind to mousse unlike that place I holidayed at. The result is a very delicate sweet and light cake.. that has that unique clear taste, making one feels very refreshed and lively!! hehehe..

This cake has sponge cake sandwiched with longan mousse that is lightly flavored with almond and is selling for RM110.

2 awesome ladies came to my house one day and pointed out to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun cake and said..."We want this!" and it was a done deal. Hahahahhaa... This was ordered for a hen party for these 2 ladies' friend who is about to get married.

It is a lemon butter cake and weighing in at 2kg.. jewel and all. And yes, the jellies are sold separately at RM2.00 each for the cute small ones and RM3 for the fantasy size ones.. Hehehe.. yeeehawwwww... let's have fun girls!
