Chocolate Trifle - An absolute Attraction
This is a must have for parties!! To me, parties must have something pretty sitting on the table for everyone to adore and when it is time to dig in, it is something that one cannot get enough of. Trifle is basically layering of, usually, sponge cake or madeira cake generously loaded with a fruity syrup and kirsch with custard, fruits and sometimes jelly all nicely decorated with cream.
In this Absolute Attraction Chocolate Trifle, I have 1 layer of chocolate swissroll nicely drenched with lightly sweetened dark cherry syrup with kirsch with 1 layer of home made custard that is light and silky and that 1 layer dark pitted cherries and chocolate curls and I start from the beginning.. 1 layer of chocolate swissroll...... layers of luxurious yummy treats..until I reach the brim of the bowl....and that's when I decorate it with whipped cream and toasted almonds and again.. dark pitted cherries.
This dessert is best eaten with friends sharing great moments at RM140....

Christmas Cakes!
This is made of sugee cake with the full works.. marzipan and fondant. Marzipan is almond paste, and yes, it's home made almond paste..meaning I made it and I decided not to have those almond bug smelling essence. Instead, I replace it with something more pleasing and I reduced the sugar content quite a bit.. making it addictive! Heh! heh! heh!..
This cake weigh in at 2kg and was sold at RM120.
This is made of fruitcake with all the works.. marzipan and fondant.. Totally Christmas! Total weight is 2.2kg and was sold at RM150.
These make lovely Christmas presents for parties or merry making. Fra lala lalala lalalaa...

Another year completed....
I remember last year I blogged about my "tong yuen" at work.. Hahaha.. what a rush it was.. I had to take the picture in the dark before rushing off to work. This year, it is much better. I didnt have to rush. I had all the time in the world to make the "tong yuen" in the morning and take picture when I am all ready. Heh! heh! Heh! not bad after 1 full year eh.
As I shape another color ball and drop it into the pot of boiling water, I am once again reminded of all my blessings, each ball of color represents each of my blessing and for that I am grateful. So, once again, to another year of great things, great achievements, great success....
I hope everyone had a great Winter Solstice like I did.. great tong yuen, great work, great food and most of all great family members...

Christmas is here!!
See!! see!! see what I got?? My Christmas present arrived from a snowflake town.. Yipppeeee and I am so thrilled...
I shall be sipping my tea and having my treats.. Thank you to my dear friend from London who had made the extra effort to go hunt the tea, pack them up and ship them over in the snow in time for Christmas....

Cuppies - A Christmas Story!
I had quite a few orders for boxes of cupcakes this Christmas... and I had so much fun making these fun range. Some are twister cupcakes which had lemon curd filling, some are normal cupcakes.
These are vanilla cupcakes and was packed in a box of 6 with ribbons and snowflakes in the box and was sold at RM28 per box for the normal ones and RM32 for the twister cupcake range.

Snap! Click! Camera!
When Melissa's aunt asked if I could do a camera cake, I thought, why not!? Heh! Heh! Heh!... when Melissa's aunt asked if I could fashioned the camera cake to look like Nikon D700, I thought.. oh oh... what does that look like? Hahahaha.. so, I had to surf the net to get a picture of Nikon D700....
After baking the cake, I took a long time looking at the cake and deciding how shall I shape it.. Hahahahaha.. yes, it is not easy as there are plenty details to look into.. some area are rounded, some area are slanting down, some had bulge here and there... and after a few hours of sweating, I make it! Hehehhee..
This cake is a delicious chocolate butter cake covered with buttercream icing and dressed up in fondant...This was sold for RM380.. total weight is 2.5kg.
